A Hen in The Cat’s Shadow
Short Fable Story About Cat: A Hen in The Cat’s Shadow
Oh, don’t let’s ask for the moon. We’ve already got the stars.
Bette Davis
It is a bedtime story of greediness and loss.
Once upon a time, Mr. Cat caught a hen. The poor hen was powerless. Mr. Mousedeer saw the cat with a hen in mouth.
Mousedeer’s heart was moved with pity.
“Greedy people are never satisfied that they have enough,” Mousedeer thought. Then Mousedeer got an idea to help the hen.
Mousedeer took a long cat nip stem and waved it on the ground. The moving cat nip on the ground attracted the cat’s attention.
“That’s more interesting. It looks more delicious. I must catch it,” Mr. Cat thought.
Then, he jumped to the moving cat nip trying to catch it.
Mr. Cat forgot the hen. He was not aware of what he had got. Miss Hen escaped from the cat’s mouth when the cat was busy with the cat nip.
“Run Hen! Run!” Mousedeer said.
The hen ran away from cat. The cat missed his meal.
Never drop the bone to catch the shadow.
