A Fable Story of Animals: The Parrot and The Frog

Talking isn’t doing. It is a kind of good deed to say well; and yet words are not deeds.
William Shakespeare

A parrot, called Motiparrot, was talking in a loud voice, standing on the branch of a tree while pig, dog, squirell, frog and other animals were listening to him.

“If you want to be a good swimmer, you must… bla bla bla,” said Motiparrot, the parrot in a loud voice.

Some of the animals were really listening to his speech. The others just pretended to be good listeners to show their respect, waiting for the end of his speech.

“What is he talking about?” asked Mr Frog to the dog next to him.
“He’s talking about swimming,” said the dog.
“So, he gaves us advice about how to swim,” said Mr. Frog, smiling at another animals.

They heard the parrot’s voice but his idea disapeared in their mind.

The tree, where they gathered, was on the riverside.

“Help! Help! Help!”

A little mouse was drowning and screaming for a help.
All animals near the river saw him.

“Beware of riverflow. If you want to swim in the river, you must.. bla..bla bla. If you want to help him, you must bla bla bla.”

Motiparrot, the parrot, kept talking, talking and talking.
Mr. Frog ignored the noise, held a stick and he jumped into the river.

“If you want to help him, you must remember all may advice. You must follow my procedure. You must bla bla bla. Don’t bla bla bla..,” said Motiparrot.

Mr. Frog was swimming to the poor mouse. He pointed the stick to the mouse.

“Hold tight!” said Mr. Frog.

The little mouse caught the stick and hold it.
Mr. Frog pulled the stick which the mouse hold. Pulling the stick, he was swimming to the riverside.

Yes, he dragged the little mouse from the river. He saved the mouse.

Everybody was cheering and clapping. They were happy.

Motiparrot said, “Mr. Frog has saved the mouse’s life but you’re supossed to do better by practicing my way. You could be professional savior if you..bla..bla. Your weakness in your action was bla bla bla.”

Yeah, the parrot was talking too much.

Mr. Frog tried to listen but he was tired.

He smiled at Motiparrot and said, “Good speech Mr Parrot but can you swim? Could you show us how you swim?”

“Yeah, Motiparrot, show us how you swim!” Said other animals.

Motiparrot kept silent. He felt embarrassed because actually he could not swim.
